- Description
- Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and supervision necessary for the construction of a two-story Replacement Medical/ Dental Clinic. The new building consists of fully sprinklered steel frame construction with concrete masonry and stucco exterior walls. Roofing is a combination of modified bitumen and standing seam metal. Finishes include painted drywall, carpet, VCT and acoustical tile. Mechanical HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping and site-work are included and incidental related work. The work also includes the construction of 2 new softball fields, a storage building, and renovations to the existing concession stand. Ball-field construction consists of new fields with fencing and dugouts. A jogging track is incorporated around the perimeter of the fields, which will be irrigated. The requirement will include three options; one for a staff parking lot, one for a pharmacy canopy, and one for window sun-screens. The estimated cost, including the options, for this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. Close construction coordination and management by the construction contractor of all work will be essential in order to fulfill the quality of work within the schedule and funds available for the Medical/Dental Clinic. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required and the maximum allowed completion schedule is 660 days. This procurement is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 233320 and the related small business size standard is $27,500,000. The contract will be awarded to the firm providing the proposal with the best value to the Government using criteria outlined in the solicitation. THE GOVERNMENT WILL ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH THE INTERNET. Plans and specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format nor CDs. Notification of any changes to this solicitation will be made ONLY on the Internet site. It is, therefore, the contractor's responsibility to check the below listed Internet site daily for any posted changes in this solicitation's plans and specifications which will be available on or about 18 December 2002. The date for submission of proposals will appear in the RFP documents. Offerors will be notified of a pre-proposal site visit/conference in the RFP documents. Download from the Internet is free of charge; however, the plans and specifications may take time to download. All prospective offerors must register as plan holders on the Internet site for this project.
