- Description
- The Navy requires highly specialized engineering services to provide systems engineering, engineering design, and operations expertise and services to the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program in association with FBM program reduced cost of ownership initiatives. Accordingly, the Navy intends to solicit and negotiate a five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract on a sole-source basis with J3S, Incorporated of Georgetown, TX. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, J3S is the only known source that can satisfy the agency?s requirements. It is estimated that approximately ten work years will be required annually. The contractor shall provide services in the areas of missile instrumentation, flight test range instrumentation, electronics package design, package performance specifications, performance testing, system acquisition planning, system dev elopment planning and management, and aerospace system?s service life evaluation. The contractor must have vast knowledge of the FBM program and the detailed design of the TRIDENT missile system. Data will be required in the form of monthly status reports as well as periodic and final technical reports on the individual delivery orders in accordance with DD Form 1423(s).
