- Item 0001: Syntactic Eyebrow Buoyancy Modules in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing No. 115-6818896 Rev. A (available upon request), MIL-P-17549D, MIL-P-25421B, and Attachment (1) to the solicitation, with all 1/2-inch NICU Tapping Plates installed. Total quantity: 5 sets plus option items for 3 sets. Item 0002: First Article Testing-must be completed and approved within four months after contract award. Approval is not required for those contractors who have met the shock qualification requirements identified in the solicitation. First Article Testing shall be in accordance with Attachment (2) to the solicitation. Item 0003: Contract Data Requirements. Deliveries shall be made by government bills of lading to various locations within the United States. Government furnished material (molds, shipping cradles and bonding cradles) shall be provided for use in connection with this contra ct. The delivery schedule shall be as follows: 1 set - 01 October 2002; 2 sets - 01 April 2003; and 2 sets - 01 September 2003. Proposals are being requested and written solicitation will be issued. The Request for Solicitation number is N00102-02-R-0902 and incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. This solicitation is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. The prospective awardee must registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award. The solicitation will be posted and available on the web at www.neco.navy.mil on or about 18 December 2001. The closing date for receipt of proposals shall be 17 January 2002 (estimated) at 3:00 PM local time.
