- U.S. GOVERNMENT REQUIRES LEASE SPACE IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA The United States Government is conducting a survey of the market to determine interest in constructing a building north of downtown Omaha, Nebraska along the Missouri River, east of Abbott Drive on Lot 18 of the Gallup University Riverfront Campus. The 5.11 acre site will be conveyed at no cost to the selected developer by the City of Omaha. AMOUNT: The building is required to contain approximately 84,000 rentable square feet which yields approximately 73,000 BOMA useable square feet of office and related space. The building will incorporate (build green) aspects and will house the National Park Service. A total of 275 surface parking must be provided on site. REQUIRED: The space offered must conform to GSA requirements for fire and life safety and handicap accessibility. It will be procured using two-step source selection criteria. The first step will evaluate experience of development teams and a short list will be established prior to the step two design phase. The Solicitation for Offers will be issued in February 2002 to parties expressing interest in this project. TERM: Lease term will be fifteen years..
