Description
This amendment is for solicitation # AMSDRBVA-0006-2 , for The USDA, Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS), Science and Technology (S&T), Manassas, VA, requirement for the management, tracking and shipping of drinking water sampling kits to Pesticide Data Program (PDP) laboratories, and supplying the drinking water sampling kits, posted on November 21, 2001. This amendment is issued to further outline the specifications as follows: 1) The sentence, "Each water sample kit will consist of: 3, 1-liter bottles of water; 1 each insulated shipping box; 8 each freeze packs; 3 each amber glass sampling bottles with Teflon-coated caps (bottles to be certified for pesticide analyses to meet US EPA analyte specifications); 3 each foam sleeves (for protection of glass bottles during shipping): 3 each labels for sample identification; 1 each packing tape for shipping; 1 each sample instructions (to be developed by the vendor and approved by USDA); 1 each self-sealing plastic bag for documentation.", is revised to say: "Each water sample kit will consist of: 3, 1-liter amber glass sampling bottles with Teflon-coated caps (bottles to be certified for pesticide analyses to met US EPA analyte specifications); 1 each insulated shipping box; 8 each freeze packs; 3 each foam sleeves (for protection of glass bottles during shipping): 3 each labels for sample identification; 1 each packing tape for shipping; 1 each sample instructions (to be developed by the vendor and approved by USDA); 1 each self-sealing plastic bag for documentation; 1, 1-liter bottle of certified pesticide free water. Sample sites will fill the bottles and ship 3 full, 1-liter amber glass sampling bottles with Teflon-coated caps to the lab." 2) The sentence: "The blanks will consist of 3, 1-liter bottles of analytical grade, certified pesticide free water and the bottles for collection.", is revised to say: "The blanks will consist of 3, 1-liter bottles of analytical grade, certified pesticide free water. There will be three (3) 1-liter amber glass sampling bottles with Teflon-coated caps which will have dechlorinating agent added by the Contractor. Therefore the Contractor will provide the designated quality control sites with a total of three (3) 1-liter amber glass sampling bottles with Teflon-coated caps as specified in #1 above, and three (3) 1-liter bottle of certified pesticide free water. " 3) The Contractor is responsible for replacement of defective kits, lost shipments, including breakage during shipment. Cost for additional kits should be included in pricing the quote. 4) There is no preference or requirement as to the usage of narrow-mouthed or wide-mouth bottles. 5) The NAICS code 561990 is revised to 516990 6) This amendment is to extend the due date from December 5, 2001 to December 7, 2001. Please acknowledge this amendment in your submitted quote as amendment # 1.
