Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Managed Resources, Inc., One World Trade Center, Suite 1240, Long Beach, CA 90831, 562-499-2190. This proposed contract action is for the hiring of medical record coders who will be able to help with the back log and to train VA employees, which the Government inteds to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses maybe reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to complete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses mut be submitted no later than December 17, 2001, 4:00 p.m. local time, to the contracting officer indicated above. See numbered note 22.
