- Description
- The U.S. Customs Service intends to make a sole source purchase from Philips Analytical. The purchase will be for one each Philips X'Pert Pro Theta-Theta Diffraction System to include a pentium computer with Windows NT, Hewlett Packard Deskjet color with cable, and an R100 BCKS water-colled water chiller 3.85KW. Direct radiation areas are 12mm steel and the enclosure conforms to the German "Vollschutz" standard. The back panels are hinged for improved access during system maintenance or reconfiguration. The unit is solid state 3kW x-ray generator operating at ultra-sonic frequencies. The generator settings are controlled directly by the software including automated tube "burn in" ramping of tube power and standby modes at measurement conclusion. Max set-tings are 60kV, 60mA. The generator communicates directly with the x-ray tube to ensure maximum power ratings are never exceed-ed. A microprocessor for control of two 2 goniometers, 24DC motors, multiple stepper motors, 4 detectors and 3 shutters simul-taneously. A 19" mounting rack for accessories is included. Dynamic real time status display of operating conditions and parameters including angular positions, counts, kV and mA settings.
