Description: The U. S. Army TACOM/ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a Phase II 120mm Mortar Monopack Container design effort with Pratt & Whitney AutoAir, Inc. (PWAA), Lansing, Michigan. This acquisition is a follow-on effort of the current engineering Phase I effort which will finalize the design of an improved 120mm Battalion Mortar Family Ammunition Monopack Container System. The basic contract will also include a quantity of 1,500 monopack container prototypes for testing purposes. An evaluated/priced option with a maximum option quantity of 120,000 monopack containers will also be included in order to prove out the final design in a production environment and cover the balance of the Fiscal Year 2003 120mm Mortar container requirements.
