- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has a requirement for 600 GPS 1680 MHz radiosondes and 6 SPS units from one or more qualified sources for pre-production testing prior to making the production decision for the RRS program. Depending upon funding and technical considerations, NOAA may elect to acquire 600 GPS 1680 MHz radiosondes and 6 SPS units from each qualified source. In addition to providing the radiosondes and SPS units, all awardees will be required to conduct certain pre-production tests and provide test results to the Government. NOAA expects that contractor pre-production testing will be completed not later than 5 months after contract award, delivery of the first lot of 100 radiosondes and 3 SPS units will take place not later than 6 months after contract award, and completion of the final lot of 500 radiosondes and 3 SPS units will take place not later than 8 months after contract award. Solicitation 52-DGNW-2-91007 will be issued on or about January 11, 2001 and will close on or about February 12, 2001. The solicitation will be available via the Internet at the following site: http://www.rdc.noaa.gov/~amd/SOLINDEX.HTML. Please monitor this website for release of the solicitation. Printed copies of the solicitation will not be provided unless specifically requested in writing to the Contracting Officer. See Notes 12 and 26.
