- UNICOR, FPI intends to issue a Request for Proposal solicitation which will result in a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract for a period of two (2) years for mailbag lacing cord. The specifications are as follows: Mailbag Lacing Cord, 50% Polypropylene, Natural Color, 11/64" Type V, Class 5, Conforming to T-C-571-F Para 3.5 add the following: And shall be a solid braid weave at 110 feet per pound minimum, referred herein as 50/50 cotton propropylene. Put-Up: 5,280 feet per box. Contractor shall send a certified copy of a signed detailed laboratory report with each production lot. A Certificate of Compliance will be furnished with each shipment stating that testing has been performed in accordance with the specifications. Delivery acceptance is 30 days after receipt of each delivery order, and is FOB Destination to three (3) locations, USP Terre Haute, IN, USP Atlanta, GA, and FCI Ft. Dix, NJ. The estimated quantity for the two (2) year period is 11,400,000 Ft. for USP Terre Haute, IN, 8,000,000 Ft. for USP Atlanta, GA, and 23,000,000 Ft. for FCI Ft. Dix, NJ. This requirement is domestic and is All or None. The award will be based on the best value to the Government. The evaluation factors are: Past Performance, Ability to conform to the specifications, and Price. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about January 10, 2001 and will be available for download from UNICOR?s website at www.unicor.gov . All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A complete copy of the solicitation shall be completed in its entirety and mailed to the attention of the Contracting Officer in this notice by the closing date of the solicitation.
