- Description
- This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the drydocking service craft overhaul of the PSNS Drydock Caisson 984. This solicitation is a small business set-aside under the NAIC of 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 11 January 2002. Proposals will be due on or about 12 February 2002. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. The work includes, but is not limited to: replacing flanged hull spool for sea valve #2, Class ?B? overhaul of various valves, Class ?B? overhaul of 3 tank level systems, replace weather deck personnel access ramps, repaint main tank, replace 115V outlets with GFI outlets, internal cleaning and painting at various locations, replace incandescent lighting with fluorescent, non-skid weather deck, modify weather deck drain openings, add blubber tube inclinometer, add tube stem protector, make operational the weather deck access hatches, various other jobs, and incidental related work. The work will be performed at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in their drydock. The RFP, when issued, will be available for downloading from the Navy's electronic commerce site www.neco.navy.mil.
