Description
The U.S. Army TACOM/ARDEC is seeking qualified small business firms who can respond to a request for proposal to manufacture and deliver approximately 35,000 each M795 High Projectile Wooden Pallets FY03 through FY07. Each Wooden Pallet assembly consists of a cover assembly and a base assembly. Each pallet assembly consists of nailed wood pieces with eight holes drilled out to hold the eight (8) M795 artillery shells. Each group of eight (8) artillery shells sits atop the wood pallet base and is capped off by the wood pallet cover. The wooden pallets shall be made from wood and deck board and heat treated for pine wood nematode. This item requires a dip tank for application of wood preservatives. The base has skids that are attached with the zinc plated steel angle brackets. The manufacturer must have the capacity to meet the required delivery schedule of first article test within three weeks of award. The Government will not facilitize prospective offerors. This information should be sent by Electronic Commerce (EC) to dfebus@pica.army.mil which should address at a minimum, the items delineated under the numbered note indicated below. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this market survey. This notice is for informational purposes only. Participation in this market survey will not effect a company's position during any future solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey or Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any rotate sector input as a result of this market survey. See Note 25.
