- Description
- The U.S. Army TACOM/ARDEC is seeking qualified small business firms who can respond to a request for proposal to manufacture and deliver approximately 735 each Metal Pallets for the 155mm, High Explosive M795 Projectile in FY03. The metal pallets shall be produced to completely meet designated requirements. The manufacturer must provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, services, facilities, and equipment to perform this requirement. The Government will not facilitize prospective offerors. Any offeror will be required to self facilitize at their own expense. The item is a decontaminable, non-flammable and reusable metal pallet coated with Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) paint. It consists of a top and a base to unitize eight 155mm projectiles held securely by two latch rods of machined steel with zinc plating. Each assembly is made of formed steel sheets that are welded together with eight holes punched out to hold the projectiles. The holes are lined with plastic inserts to protect the projectiles. This information should be sent by Electronic Commerce (EC) to dfebus@pica.army.mil which should address at a minimum, the items delineated under the numbered note indicated below. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this market survey. This notice is for informational purposes only. Participation in this market survey will not effect a company's position during any future solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey or Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any rotate sector input as a result of this market survey. See Note 25.
