Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for a full and open competition. This Invitation For Bids (IFB) will ONLY be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizops.gov. Accordingly, NO telephone, fax or email requests will be accepted. Since the IFB will only be available electronically, it will be the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for any amendments. The ESTIMATED release date of the IFB is early Jan 30, 2002. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) anticipates awarding one contract for the nine month leasing of corporate housing. The FHWA reserves the right to award multiple contracts in order to meet the government's needs. The Location(s) of corporate housing must be within a four mile radius of 4600 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203 and walking distance to the metro rail transportation system. The FHWA needs 20 to 65 fully furnished one bedroom, single occupancy, apartments to include; linens and towels, a fully furnished kitchen, to include pots, pans, plates, utensils, drinking glasses. Additionally the apartment facilities shall include the follow: Location of housing and metro must be within a four mile radius of 4600 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203, color television, basic cable, utilities, free unlimited local telephone service (access to long distance service will be available for individuals using a personal credit card.), on-site security, on-site laundry, weekly maid cleaning service, and parking.
