Description

NA Maintenance Dredging, Wilmington Harbor Christina River, Delaware-(a) Dredging will be required to a depth of 35 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 0+000 to Station 1+975. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the North Channel edge when required dredging depths exist inside the channel along the perimeter of the north edge. (b) Dredging will be required to a depth of 38 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-fo ot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the north channel edge, north turning basin edges, and entrance widening (flare) from Station 1+975 to St ation 6+236, when required dredging depths exist inside the channel and basin, along the perimeter of the aforementioned north limits. (c) No side slopes or end slopes are specified for this contract. (d) Hopper dredging shall not be permitted under this c ontract. (e) The Government-furnished disposal area available for use under this contract is Wilmington Harbor South Disposal Area. Solicitation documents will be available on the web page on or about 19 February 2002 and hard copies will not be available . No written or fax requests shall be accepted. Contractors shall download this solicitation (including drawings) and all amendments (including drawings) from the Internet at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil/AdvertisedSolicitations.as p on or after issue date of the solicitation; The official media of distribution for this solicitation is the Web Page. All required software to download the solicitation documents can be downloaded from the web page under Viewers. Interested contracts m ust register on the Internet. If any of the contractor?s information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a de lay in receiving the solicitation and amendments. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation including any drawings. Bids will be opened on or about 21 March 2002 at 11:00 am. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS Code i s 234990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $500,000 to $1,000,000 and bonding is required. Affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Liquidated damages wi ll be specified. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder. All contractors must be registered in the DoD's Central Contract Register before award as required by Dfars 204.7300. Instructions will be included in the Solicitation.
