- NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for dSpace test systems and equipment as follows: 1 each Microtec Power PC Cross Compiler (P/N DS1103/DS1005/MicroAutoBox Compiler) item #CCPPPC; 1 each Control Development Package for DS1005 processor board, containing RTII005, ControlDesk Standard Developer, and MLIB/MTRACE, item #CDP-1005; 1 each Combines Connector & LED Panel for DS4002 (12 M.U. required) item # CLP4002; 1 each Connector Panelfor DS2003 (10 M.U. required) item # CP2003; 1 each Connector Panel for DS2102 (2 M.U. required) # CP2102; 2 each Rack case for connector penels (14 M.U. required) item # CP-RACK; 1 each PPC Board Power PC 750, 480 MHz, 128MB SDRAM and 16MB Flash memory, item # DS10; 1 each ADC, MUX, 32 channels, 16-Bit, 2 ADC's, 32 channels of simultaneous Sample and Hold, Part # DS2003; 1 each DAC, 6 channels, 16-Bit, item # DS2102; 1 each Multi-purpose Digital I/O, 8 timing channels, 200 ns resolution, 32 xdigital I/O, item # DS4002; 1 each PHS bus cable with 6 connectors and terminator, item # PHS-CAB6; 1 each 10-slot expansion box with high speed serial host interface consisting of DS814, PC-side PCI bus DS817, and opto cable (9 slots free), item # PX10/814/817/Opto. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from dSpace Incorporated as the only known source who can meet agency requirements. The proposed items are for replacement and upgrades of existing NASA-LaRC owned dSpace System. This system is used in support of the Wing and Rotor Aeroelastic Test System (WRATS) tiltrotor effort to develop a soft-inplane rotor system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on February 11, 2002. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
