Description

This procurement is for Pre-crusher compactors. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. N47408-02-T-0311 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 97-19 and is issued in accordance with FAR 13.5. This procurement is Set-aside 100% for Small Business; NAICS Code is 333120 and the small business size standard is 500 or less employees. Delivery will be FOB Origin to destinations listed below. Freight to be quoted as a separate item to each different destination. CLIN 0001: QUANTITY (3 EACH); DESCRIPTION: Pre-crusher compactor, Galbreath Model No. APC-526 or equivalent. 5.0 cu. yd. Capacity charge chamber, 56? W x 106? L feed opening, 30 HP motor (220/480 VAC, 3 phase), 141,400 lbs maximum crushing force hydraulics. 10,000 lb. Capacity drive-on loading deck, 42? high hand rails, feed area safety gate with safety interlock, operator control panel with instrumentation including; oil pressure gauge, oil level sight gauge with thermometer, container full indicator lights (75%, 100%), low oil level/high temperature shut-off. Unit complete with two (2) Galbreath Model PR-2290 or equivalent, 41 cu. yd. (each) compaction containers. Complete installation (excluding electrical hookups) at destination sites listed below. To include one year parts and labor warranty, operating manual, and on-site training consisting of an instructor who will demonstrate the proper use and maintenance of the equipment and who will certify the individuals trained. CLIN 0002; Freight charges for one (1) unit to NAS Patuxent River, MD 20670; CLIN 0003; Freight charges for one (1) unit to NAB Little Creek, Norfolk, VA 23521; CLIN 0004; Freight charges for one (1) unit to NWS, Yorktown, VA 23691. CLIN 0005; QUANTITY ONE (1) EACH; DESCRIPTION: Same unit as specified in CLIN 0001 except only one (1) Galbreath Model PR-2290 compaction containers. All other item description and requirements are the same; CLIN 0006; Freight charges for the unit specified in CLIN 0005 to Charleston Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Required delivery date to specified site is 29 March 2002. Offerors are required to submit catalog cut sheets, technical data or other written material specifications for all items proposed to be furnished. FAR Provisions 52.212-1 and 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items applies. Evaluation criteria will be Lowest priced technically acceptable item. Offerors are to include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with it?s offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies as well as FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following FAR clauses cited in 52.212-5 apply: 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-13 and 52.232-33. Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N47408-02-T-0311.
