Description
NOTE: It is anticipated that the solicitation may be issued on or about 11 March, 2002. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center has a requirement for two each Rectifiers. Specifications include a rectifier that is portable, air cooled, skid mounted with weatherproof sheet metal enclosure. Input: 460 VAC, 3 phase 60 HZ. Output: 300 KW, variable output voltage from 200 VDC to 360 VDC, 3 wire, ungrounded, 1000 amps at 250 VDC with 1250 amps overload capacity for two hours. The Rectifier shall be used as a transportable power supply of totally solid-state, static design for converting alternating current to direct current for use as a shore to ship power during shipboard test and repair evolutions. This requirement will be F.O.B. destination Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Delivery shall be within 14 weeks after date of award. The acquisition will be solicited utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12 Commercial Acquisition. It is anticipated that the solicitation may be issued on or about 11 March, 2002 with offers due on or about 09 April 2002. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (Unzipping software is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "brad_e_demers@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
