- Description
- NASA/LaRC plans to issue an IFB for construction of the NASA, LaRC Integrated Test Facility. The work will include, but not be limited to, the following: Construction of an approximately 5,000 square foot high bay building, 33 feet tall. The building shall be constructed of steel siding and standing seam roofing supported by a steel superstructure. The foundation consists of reinforced concrete grade beams supported by piles and pile caps. The building includes lighting, power, fire alarm/detection, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. Process systems work includes a hydraulic pump and piping, shop service air distribution, and a cooling tower. Site work primarily consists of utility work and concrete paving. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $1M to $5M and the effort shall be completed within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 23320 and 27.5M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about February 22, 2002 with an anticipated closing date of on or about March 22, 2002. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet only. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format except the specifications which are in PDF format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
