Description
BOA Number N68936-00-G-0001 is for Thin-Pack Parachute Systems, subsystem, components, related assemblies and engineering/logistical support with SEI, Asheville, NC. Order 0003 under the BOA is a CPFF level of effort type order for (1) identification and analysis of potential design improvements, (2) design improvement implementation, (3) design and project review support, (4) manufacture and modification of test assets, (5) test and evaluation support (including resealing of sealed assemblies), (6) maintenance of the A/P22P-21 Crew Back Pack Assembly Drawing Package, and (7) project management and planning support related to TPP P-3 Aircraft Parachute System. NAWCWD intends to extend the period of performance for Order 0003 from February 28, 2002 to September 30, 2002. SEI is currently the only source for support relating to the Thin-Pack Parachute Product Line since they are the only source currently producing this A/P22P-21 Assembly incorporating the use of this Thin-Pack/ Lightweight Environmentally Sealed Parachute Assembly (LESPA) technology. No other source has SEI's unique knowledge and expertise in the TPP technology. In addition, the TPP P-3 Aircraft Parachute System drawing package is not releasable due to proprietary markings making design information unavailable. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact SEI. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency. Interested parties other than SEI must respond in writing (via mail, email, or fax) demonstrating the offerors experience and capabilities in parachutes incorporating the Thin-Pack technology and the level of maintenance support required by the Government. Address: Commander NAWCWD Code 210000D, Attn: W.T. Monckton, 1 Administration Circle, Bldg. 20259, China Lake, CA 93555-61000. See Notes 22 and 26.
