Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is announcing the release of a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the Joint Service Family of Decontamination System (JSFDS) - Block I requirements. The JSFDS program is designed to provide an effective, rapid, safe, reliable and environmentally compliant decontamination capability to the Departments of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Potential threat materials include Chemical and Biological (CB) warfare agents and Toxic Industrial Materials (TIMs). The Block I acquisition will identify and field a family of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and/or Non-Developmental Item (NDI) decontaminants. This family of decontaminants will initially be used with existing fielded military applicators or, if necessary, commercial off the shelf integral applicators. This is an unrestricted competition. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 422690. The size standard is 100 employees. The RFP and supporting documentation for this effort can be accessed via the MARCORSYSCOM web site at www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/mcscctq and then by clicking on "opportunities" and then "JSFDS". MARCORSYSCOM intends to award one or two indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contracts for the Block I decontaminant(s), with a five-year ordering period. The RFP and the support documentation will be released on February 12, 2001 and responses to the RFP must be submitted by 1400 (2:00pm EST), April 4, 2002. Questions in response to the RFP must be submitted by 1400 (2:00pm EST) March 11, 2002. The solicitation package must be downloaded from the website as no hard copies will be available for distribution. All written requests for copies of the RFP will be ignored. Potential offerors who download copies of the RFP from the website will not automatically receive amendments and, therefore, will be responsible for monitoring the Internet site for the release of additional documents and amendments. Vendor proposals submitted in response to the RFP must be received in hard copy in accordance with the RFP instructions. Responses to this announcement should be mailed to: COMMANDER, Marine Corps Systems Command, Code CTQ3EW, 2033 Barnett Avenue, Suite 315, Quantico, Virginia, 22134-5010. The hand carry/courier address is: COMMANDER, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attention: Edwin E. Wright, Jr., Code CTQ3EW, 3041A McCawley Avenue, Quantico, Virginia, 22134.
