- NA Contractor shall furnish the personnel, facilities, supplies and services necessary to accomplish the System Engineering, Configuration Management, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Quality Assurance, Packaging, Standardization and various related techni cal support for the M109 Family of vehicles. The M109 Family of vehicles includes the M109A2-A5 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer, the M109A6 Paladin 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer, and the M992 Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicle (FAASV). The System T echnical Support (STS) includes maintenance of the entire M109 Family Technical Data Package (TDP) to include foreign vehicle configurations; preparation, generation and incorporation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs); maintenance, upgrade, and public ation of Technical Manuals and associated maintenance documents; and performance of all directed activities including engineering projects, programs, studies and the production of prototype hardware, for the US Army, as well as for foreign governments. Ma intenance of the various TDP?s includes generation of both digital and paper drawings as well as updating both digital and paper drawings using conventional drafting and Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs as required by the government. The CAD effort will include PRO-E, and other CAD programs as required by the government engineering agencies. The contract performance includes maintenance, potential transfer and technical support of the various SPH/FAASV systems TDP?s, a large historical data base of engineering records/reports and documents, a large data base of technical manual documentation/artwork and files, a number of SPH facility vehicles, test stands and hardware, prototype parts and other Government Furnished Equipment. Support of the forei gn government programs is via Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases for which the historic data bases are required for system support. Any manufacturer that wishes to receive more information concerning this program must respond NO LATER THAN CLOSE OF BUSINE SS 15 MAR 02 with a statement of interest describing the company's technical expertise/qualifications and experience producing similar equipments. This Request for Information (RFI), Sources Sought (SS) Notice is for information and planning purposes only , and shall NOT be construed as a Request for Proposal, announcement of a solicitation, or other obligation on the part of TACOM-RI.
