Description

This is a presolicitation notice for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the synopsis only. An electronic solicitation will be available on or around March 31 2002, and will be posted on the Federal Procurement Opportunities site (www.eps.gov). This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. The small business size standard for this acquisition is 500, and the NAICS code is 315299. Non Personal Services to provide the following: Contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to make cloth name tapes, cloths U.S. Air Force tapes and plastic name tags for approximately 47,500 trainees and prior service personnel per year at Lackland AFB TX. The cloth name tapes along with the cloth U.S. Air Force tapes are designed for wear on the Battle Dress Uniform. The subdued olive green tapes with flag-blue letters embroidered on the tape will be 6 ? inches long and 1 inch wide with ? lettering. Five (5) each name tapes and (5) each U.S. Air Force tapes are required per trainee. The plastic name tag is designed for wear on the Service Dress Uniform. The laminated, ultramarine blue plastic material with white block-style letters engraved on the plastic and clutch-type fastener with be 3 3/16 inches long and 5/8 inches wide with ? inch lettering. Two (2) each name tags are required per trainee. All deliverables must comply with the specifications outlined in AFI 36-2903, paragraph 5.3 and 5.4. This instruction can be accessed on the worldwide web at: http://afpubs.hq.af.mil/. FOB: Destination for delivery is 37 SUPS/LGSI, 1550 Wurtsmith Suite 4, Bldg. 5725, Lackland AFB, TX 78236-5250. Anticipated performance period is 01 Oct 2002-30 Sep 2003 plus four (4) one year options.
