Description

Sandia National Laboratories is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a design/build demonstration and R&D evaluation project entitled: Two Solar Thermal Projects at Camp Barrett: (1) Heating for Indoor Pool, (2) Domestic Hot Water System for Showers at Camp Barrett, Quantico Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. The purpose of this RFQ will be to issue a contract to design and install solar water heating systems on a wide scale for the purpose of demonstrating the feasibility of using solar technology for large scale hot water production on a military facility. A contractor is needed to design and install the solar systems. Sandia will be responsible for collecting performance data and reporting the results to the US Marine Corps. The contract to be awarded under this solicitation is expected to cover the installation of 2 separate solar systems and will be completed within an eight-month period.
