Description

NA Red River Army Depot intends to issue a solicitation resulting in a requirements type purchase order for Tread Elastomer in support of its road wheel rebuild program. Contract period will be 12 months. The following nsn?s, sizes, and estimated quantities. Group A, Class 1: NSN 264000o0002, Wheel Size 26 in X 6 in, Die Size 64-64-46, Min 84 inches length, est qty 4,000 pieces; and Material shall meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-45301E, Tread Elastomer: Solid Tires For Track Laying Vehicles, unless otherwise specified. Samples for first article testing (FAT) are required for all firms submitting offers. 150 pounds of the formulation in proper strip size must be provided in advance of the date set for receipt of proposals for FAT. FAT will consist of physic al properties testing, TGA and adhesion testing on a road wheel. Firms interested in receiving this solicitation may download it from our website at https://WWW.RedRiver.Army.Mil under the TACOM Red River Procurement Network tab. The solicitation will be available on the issue date of 4 March 2002.
