- VA North Texas Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Endocardial Solutions, Inc. The proposed contractor will provide one Ensite 3000 diagnostic system. The purpose of the system is to diagnose and map, rapidly and comprehensively, within the span of a few heartbeats, arrhythmias or potentially fatal heart rhythms. The enhanced diagnostics will allow the expansion of ablation therapy to the majority of previously un-mappable arrhythmia population. No solicitation document exists; this notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for bids. Alternative contractors will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing evidence that they possess the qualifications and experience necessary to meet the unique features. Identified features include but are not limited to (a) minimally invasive diagnostic system without contacting the heart's surface; (b) system displays more than 3,000 points of electrical activity via system algorithms; (c) real time image of global heart chamber endocardial activation; (d) rapid diagnosis, within the span of a few heartbeats; and (e) enhanced diagnostic capabilities utilizing high resolution, 3D, color display showing the origin of the arrythmia. Responses must be in writing and must be received within 10 calendar days of this notice. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
