Total project cost is estimated in the range of 28 to 31 million dollars. The site is a USPS owned site. The contract will be accomplished in two phases: Phase I development of 30% concept drawings. Based on the concept design and successfully negotiating a Guaranteed Maximum Price within the CCL phase II will be awarded. Phase II will be completing the design and the construction of the facility. Funding of the project is subject to Board of Governors Approval. The scope of work includes design and construction renovation/postalization of an existing P&DF consisting of approximately, 325,000sq. Ft. building on 15.3 acres in Teterboro, NJ. Total period of design and construction for this project phase I is 45 calendar days phase II is 365 calendar days. Only the most highly qualified contractors were pre-qualified. The USPS intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to the pre-qualified firms only in February of 2002. The USPS will select the offer that provides the Best Value to the Postal Service, taking into consideration technical and cost related factors.
