- Description
- SYNOPSIS. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the demolition of existing roof structures as well as construction of a new concrete retaining wall, drainage structures, horizontal auger boring, bullet trap, and new roof structures. The work also includes the removal of an aboveground 1500-gallon fuel oil storage tank with saddle, concrete berm, and approximately 100 feet of one-half inch of underground diesel piping, including the proper disposal and documentation of any petroleum contaminated soil. There is a non-refundable charge of $20.00 for the bid package. The check should be made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard and forwarded to CEU Miami. The request for a bid package must be submitted in writing. Inquiries concerning this project can be faxed to: (305) 278-6696. The estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The applicable NAICS Code is 23493, with a three-year average annual receipts small business size standard of 27.5 million. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. Those who have previously requested this project under the Presolicitation Notice , posted on 11/09/01, do not need to request again. For: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises : The Department of Transportation ( DOT) Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
