Description
NA The Florida Air National Guard has a requirement for construction of a Weather Readiness Training Complex at the Camp Blanding National Guard Training Site, Starke, Florida. Estimated price range is between $2,500,000 and $7,500,000. A firm fixed price con tract is contemplated. A new complex will be constructed for the Air Force Weather Readiness Training Center (WRTC) and the 159th Weather Flight at the Camp Blanding National Guard Training Site, Starke, Florida. It will support the operational and traini ng missions of both organizations. It will consist of five new buildings which consist of approximately 35,467 gross square feet of building area, including an administrative and operations building for the 159th Weather Flight, an administrative, educati on, and training facility for the Weather Readiness Training Center, a three-building transient student billeting complex, an antenna yard, and five (5) parking areas with 109 vehicle spaces, 3 handicap vehicle spaces and 10 spaces for oversized vehicles. The facility will be constructed on 78 acres of currently undeveloped land at the Camp Blanding National Guard Training Site, Starke, Florida. The project is designed by Burns and McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., Kansas City, MO. The General Construc tion Contractor will be required to provide construction, supervision/contract management, spare parts/material/equipment, a quality control plan, inspections and tests, manuals (operations and maintenance, shop drawings, etc.), and training (building oper ations for staff, occupants) as indicated in the specifications and drawings. The General Construction Contractor is solely responsible for the management (planning, supervision, and contract coordination) and construction (including all labor, equipment, materials and inspections as identified in the contract documents as the responsibility of the General Construction Contractor) to meet the requirements set forth in this contract. The NAICS Code is 233320. The Government intends to issue the solicitation through the use of the Internet at http://acquisition.army.mil. The entire solicitation will be posted on the Florida Army National Guard?s web site http://www.floridaguard.net/pc/ for viewing and download at a future date. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only. The solicitation notice will provide all necessary information when posted. This project will be awarded prior to September 30, 2002.
