Description
J-- The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking sources for the following effort: The Navy will have a requirement for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for at least 6 aircraft (current fleet) C-40A aircraft beginning in Fiscal Year 04. It is possible the fleet size could grow by three aircraft a year through FY 09. It is anticipated that the contract will consist of the base year plus 7 to 9 options. The C-40 is a derivative of the Boeing commercial aircraft, 737-700. Examples of CLS would be: a. Site support b. Inventory management and support to include tracking and control of limited number of serially controlled parts; lease of engines, APUs, landing gear and control surfaces; providing consumables and expendables. The Navy has limited Government owned spares. c. Engine Condition Monitoring d. Component Repair and Overhaul e. Engine, APU, landing gear and flight control surface repair/Overhaul f. Field Service Reps g. Depot level support (Scheduled and un-scheduled) h. Drop-in maintenance i. Site activation (new sites) Currently, the C-40 is supported in accordance with FAA/Commercial practices. The Navy has obtained maintenance and operational manuals for the C-40 that would be available under the CLS contract in accordance with the rights as provided to the Government under the current prime contract. The successful offeror would be obligated to execute a Boeing Customer Services General Terms Agreement (GTA) or other appropriate proprietary information protection agreement with Boeing. The Navy is contemplating procuring this support under either Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 or Part 15. The Navy makes no representation or guarantees that a solicitation will be issued or that there would be a contract awarded.
