Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Mauna Loa Observatory has a requirement for the repair of the asphalt road leading to the Observatory, located at the 11,300 foot level of the Volcano Mauna Loa, 154 Waianuenue Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to repair the road. It is strongly recommended that all bidders visit and inspect the road prior to bid submission. The Cold Mix Asphalt Mix shall be Yamada and Sons, Inc. (Cold Mix 48100), designed to meet the County of Hawaii Cold Mix Asphalt Specification, Dated 3/15/02, OR APPROVED EQUAL. Vendors may request a formal package by fax, email, or mail. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, (NTE $100K). The Government cost estimate range for this requirement is $25K - $100K. This requirement is set aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the Government's need at a fair and reasonable price. Size Standard $27.5 Million.
