- This is not a Solicitation The Purpose of This Document is to Conduct Market Research To Locate Potential Qualified Sources As part of market survey, The U.S. Air Force, Air Education & Training Command (AETC) Contracting Squadron, is currently seeking qualified businesses to provide PC - Based Navigational and Electronic Warfare Flight Training Simulator, workstations, training, technical assistance, set-up and associated hardware. It can consist of just PC-Based Navigational Flight Training Simulator, Electronic Warfare Flight Training Simulator or both. AETC will test and evaluate the product for approximately one (1) year. After testing and evaluating, the possibility exists that the system will be adopted for use in the USAF Navigator Training Course at Randolph AFB TX. Small business, 8(a) contractors, Small Disadvantaged contractors, Historically Underutilized Business, Women-Owned Business, Historically Black Colleges & Universities, and Veteran-Owned and Veteran-Owned Service Disabled are encouraged to participate. Ultimately, AETC will select the one company that can BEST meet the requirement. Because to the time constraints, there is not enough lead-time to educate potential offerors on this program, therefore, it is essential that only qualified offeror's respond This Market Research/Sources Sought is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited or received. Respondents will not be notified about the outcome of the Government's review of solicited information. The Navigator PC-Based Simulator must be capable of performing the following functions: CAPABILITIES REQUIRED. System Performance (Aircraft). An avionics suite is required to support training Joint Specialized Undergraduate Navigation Training mission tasks. [Threshold] The avionics suite shall have the following characteristics and capabilities: Navigation. A navigation system allowing operation within the National Airspace System (NAS) for enroute operations, terminal area operations, and non-precision approaches. [Threshold] For training in instrument navigation the following information shall be displayed: heading (true and magnetic), airspeed (indicated, mach, and true), and pressure altitude.
