- NA DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation number DAAE20-02-R-0134 for a modified commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6; as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes th e only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Any amendments will be issued through the FedBizOpps under solicitation number DAAE20-02-R-0134. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) . The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01, effective 21 December 2001. This solicitation is a full and open, unrestricted, firm fixed price type procurement, NAICS Code 332439. The award will be based on price. The requirements are for 82 each, CARC Painted 20 Foot Storage Containers, NSN: N/A, Part Number: IICL20FOOT. The exterior characteristics are Length: 19?10.5?, Height: 8?6?, Width: 8?. The interior chara cteristics are Length: 19?4.25?, Height: 7?9?, Width: 7?8.5?. The Door Opening shall be Height: 7?8.5?, Width: 7?8.5?. The requirement is for an end opening steel container, A-A52032. Containers shall be suitable for all modes of transportation includin g overseas shipment and be CFC, IICL5 certified. The containers shall be CARC painted and tested in accordance with MIL-C-53072B(ME), primer shall be MIL-P-53022, finish coat shall be MIL-C-46168 and color chip Green 383 (34094) or Tan 686A (33446). A qu antity of 42 each shall be CARC painted Green 383, and a quantity of 40 each shall be CARC painted Tan 686A. The containers shall be new or like new and have the CSC certification placard. The certification shall not be older than two (2) years. Inspect ion and Acceptance shall be Origin, FOB is Destination. The containers shall be shipped to CDR, Pine Bluff Arsenal, ATTN: AMSSB-OPB-MMP, 10020 Kabrich Circle, Pine Bluff, AR 71602-9500. Deliveries shall begin 30 days after date of award at a rate of 8 c ontainers per week and be shipped 2 each per flatbed trailer. The following clauses apply and are incorporated into this solicitation: 1) 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items (by reference); 2) 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerc ial Items (by reference); 3) 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (by reference); 4) 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, along with the additional FAR clauses cited under paragraph (b) 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 24; 5) 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications ? Alternate I and II (a copy of this provision shall be completed and submitted with the offer). Proposals are due by 3:00 a.m. CST, 26 June 2002. P roposals shall be datafaxed to (309) 782-2047. Offer must hold prices firm for 30 calendar days from the date proposals are due. Offerors must acquaint themselves with the new regulations contained in FAR subpart 12 and must ensure that all Representations and Certifications are executed and returned as required in this synopsis/solicitation including name and telephone number of individuals to contact for information regarding the solicitation. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued only through this synopsis. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Any amendments herby issued to this FedBizOpps Notice shall be synopsized in the same manner as this Notice and must be acknowledged by the offeror. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt o f proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
