Description
NA This proposed CDC procurement is a competitive action between SBA 8(a) contractors only. Bids will be accepted from those responsive, responsible SBA 8(a) contractors certified for participation in the 8(a) Program in Arizona and 8(a) firms that have an es tablished branch office in Arizona. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. NAICS 233320 and Sic Code 1542 applies. The size standard is $28.5 Million. Estimated cost of construction is between $5-$10 Million. Bonding is required. See Secti on 100 in the Solicitation for Bid for Site Tour information. Construction Period is estimated at 365 calendar days. The IFB will be available on or about 17 June 2002 with bids due on 18 July 2002. This solicitation will be issued in CD-ROM format only; n o paper copies will be available. Child Development Center (CDC): Work consists of construction of a new child development center with a capacity for 300 children; age six months to six years. Work includes concrete footings, stem walls, and floor slab; concrete masonry unit walls, standi ng seam metal roof, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire detection and suppres-sion, utilities, parking and sidewalks, enclosed playground, landscaping, site improvements, and all necessary support. Anti-terrorism/force protection measures shall co mply with DoD interim minimum force protection standards. This project will be advertised as an Invitation for Bids (IFB). The Government will award to the lowest priced, responsible, responsive SBA certified 8(a) bidder. This IFB will result in a fixed-price construction contract. Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive a Government contract award. To register, the CCR Internet address is : https://www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/ccradd.asp. A paper form for registration to the CCR may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. This solicitation will be issued using electronic bid sets (EBS) and prov ided on compact disks only (CD-ROM) at no charge to all registered planholders. Any prospective SBA 8(a) bidder interested in bidding must be placed on the Planholders list. If you are not registered the US Government is not responsible for providing you w ith notification of any changes to the solicitation. Bidders should register themselves on the Internet. To register, it is important that you first go to the Corps of Enginners Contracting Division Home page at: http://www.spa.usace.army.mil. When you ent er the site, click on Contracting, then Solicitation Number. See EBS Albuquerque District, click on the solicitation you are interested in. Go to solicitation registration, click on Register for this Solicitation. If you have not registered previously, cli ck on New User and follow the instructions for Login Information. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on the Planholders list. With our new system you only have to do the full registration one time. Anyone in your office can use your user name and password to sign up for other jobs. Each bidder, after registering for this solicitation, should verify that h is or her name appears on the Planholders list for this project. All bidders are required to check the Albuquerque District Contracting Division website daily to be notified of any changes to this solicitation.
