Description
NA The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona intends to procure a minimum of one Long Distance Eye-Safe Laser Range Finder (LDESLRF), with a maximum of eight (8) additional units within the next five (5) years. The range finder will be use d to give range in meters and/or feet to a non-cooperative or cooperative target from the ranger?s location on a tracking mount to the specified target. The LDESLRF shall meet or exceed all specifications for an eye-safe laser as outlined in ANSI 136.1 and 136.6 (2000) for Class I Lasers and as identified within the technical specification. The unit must be transportable, modular, self-contained and environmentally sealed. The unit must be capable of operating reliably in the desert environment of the sout hwestern United States on a year round basis. Cost per unit will include set-up and installation. This acquisition is being issued unrestricted under North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) 334511 with a size standard of 750 employees. The solicitation document will be prepared in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12- Acquisition of Commercial Items. Written proposals will be required of offerors participating in this solicitation and selection of the successf ul contractor will be made using best value procedures IAW FAR 15.101 and 15.102. Contractors shall indicate whether or not they will accept payment by Government VISA credit card. The evaluation criteria will be set forth in the solicitation package. Th e solicitation document will be available on our web page at http://www.yuma.army.mil/contracting/rfp.html on or about 19 June 2002. No solicitation will be mailed out, you may download the solicitation from the website.
