Description

Request for Proposal number 1-JC-02-01 for continued operation of the Shriver Job Corps Center located at 192 MacArthur Avenue in Devens Massachusetts 01432, will be made available on June 24, 2002 by written request to the Agency or on the acquisition home page: http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged, youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The successful offeror will manage and operate a government owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, outreach, admission, career development and career transition services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulation. Copies of DOL/Job Corps regulations are available at the above-mentioned web site. The contract capacity is for 172 residential males, 102 residential females, 14 non-residential males and 14 non-residential females, for a total capacity of 300 trainee participants. The contactor will also provide Outreach Admissions/Career Transition Services to 500 youth approximately (350 graduates and 150 former enrollees). It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a performance based plus fixed fee contract for a two base year period of May 1, 2003 to April 30, 2005 plus three performance based options of one year each. A Pre-Proposal conference will convene at the Center on June 28, 2002 at 1:00pm local time. The closing date for written Business Management Plans, Subcontracting Plans, and staff Qualifications and Schedules will be o/a August 26, 2002; oral presentations will be required and conducted in Boston the week of September 9, 2002
