Description

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to issue a firm-fixed price order for a qualified Contractor to conduct research on pan temperature measurement techniques on household electric ceramic glass cooking ranges and to provide input to a control system that regulates burner heat output to prevent ignition of cooking materials. The measurement technique shall be evaluated for stainless steel, aluminum and cast iron skillets of various sizes. The research shall include identification and evaluation of an appropriate sensor or sensors that will perform this task. Contractor shall have experience in this area of technology. Period of performance shall begin on effective date of the contract and shall not extend beyond 210 calendar days. The anticipated issuance date is July 10, 2002 with quotes due July 30, 2002. The NAICS code is 335221. All responsible sources may request a copy of the RFQ by fax at (30l) 504-0628 and submit a written quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No telephone requests for copies of the RFQ will be accepted.
