- Description
- The Defense Supply Center Richmond is looking for manufacturers to participate in the Just In Time Bushing Program for Naval Aircraft. We anticipate requiring uncoated bushings to be delivered within 3 working days, CAD plated bushings to be delivered within 5 working days, and IVD coated bushings to be delivered within 14 calendar days. All bushings will require Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) prior to shipment. The anticipated scope of the proposed contract will include, but not be limited to, all bushings in the aircraft maintained by the Naval Aviation Depots. The bushings will be solicited in phases. Only those manufacturers that are found qualified during the initial solicitation will be considered for the follow-on proposals. The minimally acceptable on-time delivery history in the 3120 class is 90%. Those that have not performed work in the 3120 federal supply class will be judged based on the government contracts they receive. Manufacturers not meeting this standard will not be considered for contract award. Additionally, any perspective manufacturers must have a minimum of three (3) CNC lathes and three (3) CNC mills. The capacity of the CNC machines will be evaluated to ensure they have adequate memory to store numerous bushing programs. Additionally, government customers will be contacted to provide feedback on their level of satisfaction on performance issues. We would like to invite qualified manufacturers to attend an "Industry Day" conference at the Naval Aviation Depot Jacksonville, Jacksonville NAS, FL on 7 Aug 2002 at 8:00 am.
