- This notice hereby amends Presolicitation Notice BBGCON3602S5313 posted in the FedBizOpps on May 31, 2002. A Site Visit in Djibouti, Africa and Poro, Philippines will be made available for interested offerors to attend. The Djibouti site visit will be held on Monday, July 29, 2002. Interested firms must arrive by 8:00AM at the lobby of the Sheraton Djibouti Hotel, located at 1924 Plateau du Serpent, Djibouti, where a U.S. Embassy representative will lead the group to the Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB) site. Firms shall provide their own transportation to the site. The Poro site visit will be held on Friday, August 2, 2002. Interested firms must arrive by 9:00AM at the existing BBG/IBB transmitting station which is located approximately 200 miles north of Manila on the Poro Point Peninsula. A BBG/IBB representative will lead the group from there to the project site. Firms shall provide their own transportation to the site. Instructions for driving to the existing BBG/IBB transmitting station can be provided upon request by the IBB point of contact listed below. Firms interested in participating in the Djibouti and/or Poro site visit(s) are requested to confirm their attendance at least one week in advance by calling Mr. Tariq Farooqi, telephone number (202)205-8050, or Mr. Mark Filipek, telephone number (202)619-2272. All site visits are entirely at the Offeror's own expense. In no event shall failure to inspect either or both sites will not constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
