- **********16 JULY 20002 This combined synopsis/solicitaion is hereby cancelled due to set-aside for Federal Supply Schedule holders.**************This is a synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FE441821070350 is a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in affect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code is (334112). The small business size standard is 1000 employees. The offeror shall provide as a response to this solicitation a lump sum proposal for all labor and materials included in this project and a completed clause 52.212-3. Technical literature must also be submitted with quote. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Furnish Lektriever or equal Vertical Carousel Style Mobile Shelving/Storage System. Required overall approximate dimensions ? 8 ft Height/35 ft width/5 ft depth are required to maximize additional storage area, organize high personnel traffic pattern, as well as expedite tool/equipment issue. Multiple units are required to simultaneously access equipment, tools and parts. (Maximum total dimensions are 107 in height/35 ft 11 inches width/7 ft depth.) Units must be compatible with 115 VAC. Storage system needs to provide secured storage for approximately 3000 items of bench stock (parts), special tools and equipment. Shelving bins must be adjustable to customize storage of both large (4 sq ft) and small items (6 sq in). Over 6,500 linear filing inches are required to satisfy storage space with the vertical carousel shelving. Weight capacity must accommodate multiple large tools, equipment, and parts as well as oversized toolboxes in excess of 35 lbs. Storage system must lock automatically to secure all items. System must be computerized and programmable to select and retrieve storage bins. Computer must be capable of accounting for all stock items. Multiple units must be linked via computer software and will include a single system controller. Computer will also mange inventory of all removed parts, allow work order processing of parts kits, and generate backorder requests when required, and must be compatible with PC based Dell Hardware and the AF Standard Base Supply System (SBSS). Machine must have a recessed toe panel to enable full frontal approach from a wheelchair. All items must be viewable/retrievable from below eye level of an average height person to facilitate rapid inventory and access to items. System must be delivered and installed no later than 23 Aug 02. A site visit is scheduled to be held 1 July 02 at 9:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time on Charleston Air force Base, Bldg 503. It is mandatory that all offerors attend this meeting. Quotes may be submitted in hard copy or electronically, either through e-mail or mail. Regardless of method of delivery, it is the offeror?s responsibility to ensure receipt of the quote by the time and date stated herein.
