- Description
- The US Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific Alameda intends to solicit and award, a firm fixed price contract for 10 each Spare Parts Kits, used on the SPS-73 RADAR system, which was modified and tailored for the Coast Guard by Raytheon. Since all kits will be used on Coast Guard patrol boats equipped with the AN/SPS-73 RADAR system, all kit components must be compatible with the AN/SPS-73 RADAR System and should be the brand name specified for the components. AWARD WILL BE MADE FOR COMPLETE KITS ONLY AND NOT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL PARTS. The proposed contract action is for the brand name parts, which makes up the spare parts kit required. The Government expects that offerors will only provide the brand name specified for the individual parts under the authority of FAR 6.302. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal for the individual parts. However, all submittals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete any of the individual components with is proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For informational purposes: Minority, Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime rates to provide accounts receiving financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
