Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available with Schrodinger, Incorporated, 1500 SW First Avenue, Suite 1180, Portland, OR 97201, for Jaguar software licenses and maintenance. The software is proprietary and sold only through Schrodinger, Incorporated. Jaguar software is designed to increase the speed of ab initio calculations in order to accelerate basic and applied research projects, and to enable calculations at a higher level of theory. Jaguar's speed and power make it possible to study many systems within a reasonable timeframe. It is uses pseudospectral and local MP2 technologies. The software package is available for the most common models in molecular quantum chemistry: density functional theory, Hartree-Fock theory, and Moller-Plesset second-order perturbation teory. Additionally the software package implements a number of algorithms commonly used in the field of computational chemistry. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541511 and the size standard is $18M. This notice of intent is not a request for competition; however, interested parties may identify their interest and specific capability to respond to the requirement, in writing. Written responses to this synopsis must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. The Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. A Request for Quotation is not available.
