Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, F45613-02-Q-B035, is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 812331 Small Business size standard is $12.0 million. This project is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, and services to provide the rental of chemically treated non-skid floor mats, hand and bath towels according to the attached Statement of Need (SON). The basic performance period will be for the fiscal year starting 1 Oct 02 and ending 30 Sept 03 with a maximum of 4 option years. The following Provisions and Clauses apply to this announcement: Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors--Commercial Items (Oct 2000) applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items (Jan 1999) apply to this acquisition and is completed as follows: (a) the following factors shall be used to evaluate offers ?price and past performance. The government will award a contract resulting from this Request for Quote t the offeror who conforms to the solicitation and provides the lowest cost. FAR 52.212-3, Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items with its alternates I and II (May 2002) apply to this acquisition. Addenda to FAR 52.212-3 is as follows: FAR 52.223-3, Hazardous Material Identification and Material Safety Data (Jan 1997).
