Description

The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order for John Crane Lips Major overhaul kit for 210B Class USCG Vessels, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This requirement is being solicited on a Brand Name basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1 John Crane Lips is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to manufacturer the required parts. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339991 ? Gasket, packing, and sealing devices manufacturing and the small business size standard is 1000. The acquisition is for a Major overhaul kit for 210 Class vessels P/N: JCL001057-001. The unit will be used on the 210 Class USCG vessels. The Major overhaul kit will be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Naval Engineering Support Unit, 4000 Coast Guard Boulevard, Portsmouth, VA 23703-2199. The required delivery date is 17- September 2002. Items shall be packed, packaged and marked in accordance with commercial standards. The OEM's best standard commercial warranty is requested and shall be identified in the bidder's quote. All interested sources may submit technical info demonstrating their capability to furnish a product with the same form, fit and function. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
