- This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is F26600-02-Q-B042 is being issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. This acquisition falls under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 442210; the number of employees under this code is $6.0 million for manufacturers and dealers. The government intends to solicit and award this purchase order for the following: (LINE ITEM 0001: Contractor to remove existing wall covering, prepare, seal, and install with double glue approximately 606 yards or 7272 square feet (total) of PINK PASTEL in color, flame retardant wall coverings in a total of twenty one class rooms at Nellis Air Force Base, Child Development Center II. There is only one wall per classroom that will have wall covering installed. Wall coverings must meet or exceed the following specifications. Content of 100% FOSSFIBER Solution Dyed Polyester with Fusible Latex Backing. MEA Toxicity classification of 277-90M. Flame resistance must pass ASTM E-84, Class A, and have a flame spread of 10. Wall coverings must have a lightfastness of AATCC 16A 100 hours or better, and a sound absorption of ASTM C-423 NRC 0.60. The weight per linear yard must be 23 oz, and the crocking must rate AATCC-8 Dry-Excellent Wet-Excellent. The pattern shall be Linear from Designer?s Workshop, or equal.) FOB point is Nellis Air Force Base, NV 89191. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the lowest price. Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, and Alternate I, with its offer. A copy of the Certifications and Representatives can be found at the following website: http://farsite.hill.af.mil.
