Description

Develop a land use/cover monitoring program for the I&M Program. Solicitation number Q6067020017 is due September 5, 2002. POC is Robert Maydwell, 402.221.7292. CO is Karen Schultz. Work consists of developing comparable land cover/use data sets over time. Specifically, a classification system is needed to characterize changes in land cover/use in four national parks -- Hot Springs National Park, Pea Ridge National Military Park, Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, and Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. Land cover/use change analyses will be conducted at roughly 20-year intervals for the parks and includes the area within the parks' boundaries plus a 3-mile buffer. Characterization of land-use change will rely on current satellite imagery and historical aerial photography. Source Selection Criteria would be a combination of (1) technical expertise, (2) document successful past performance with the National Park Service and (3) clearly articulate classification methods will weigh heavily, (4) Cost. Solicitation packages may not be acquired in person, by mail or fax. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests for solicitation packages will be done through the government point of entry: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Award issue date will be on or about September 9, 2002.
