Description
NA MARKET RESEARCH: The Government is seeking commercial information and conducting Market Research to identify commercial sources for the repair of the Automatic Fire Control System (AFCS) to support the M109A6 Paladin Howitzer, which is currently identifi ed as available from only one source of supply. This notice is for the purpose of identifying potential additional sources of supply. This is a presolicitation Market Research to obtain commercial information only. This is not an Invitation For Bid (IFB), or a Request For Proposal (RFP). The Automatic Fire Control System (AFCS) major assemblies and components for repair are as follows: Display Unit (DU), P/N 12561802, NSN 7025-01-307-5519; DU with container, P/N 12927707-5, NSN 7025-01-411-1801; DU Control Panel, P/N 12561697, NSN 1290-01-361-1350; EL Display, P/N 12561708, NSN 5980-01-380-7624; Power Conditioning Unit (PCU), P/N 12561743, NSN 6130-01-307-5527; PCU with container, P/N 12927707-4, NSN 6130-01-412-3678; PCU Access Cover, P/N 12561698, NSN 5340 -01-362-1601; Vehicle Motion Sensor (VMS) Modem, P/N 12561737, NSN 5895-01-356-0205; VMS Modem CCA, P/N 12561843, NSN 5998-01-355-7324. Included is the application of the Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV), which provides an automated method of tracking Gov ernment owned repairable assets as they flow through the repair cycle at the contractor?s repair facility. The technical data packages are not adequate for repair of the internal component items. The contractor would be required to develop, fabricate, or otherwise acquire automated test equipment requiring extensive design, fabrication, and validation efforts for the testing hardware. At this time the Government is only soliciting the following source of supply information: Company?s name, address, point o f contact, phone number and e-mail address. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure the repair of any items, nor does TACOM-RI intend to award on the basis of this Market Research.
