Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract to Cubic Defense Systems of San Diego, CA for the update of the software resident in the Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) Computer, PN AN/AYQ23(V), for the H-53 and H-46 aircraft. This update provides corrections to the Operational Flight Program (OFP) required to reduce the occurrence of nuisance warnings in the system. This effort will include the development, testing and installation of the required changes in the GPWS computer OFP. Cubic Defense Systems is the sole designer, developer and supplier of the GPWS, and as such, is the only source available to satisfy the government's requirement to meet H-53 and H-46 production installations.
