- Description
- The resulting engineering/logistics services will develop a prototype reliability-based maintenance and logistics support model for the LANTIRN Laser Transmitter-Receiver (LTR) for Precision Attack System Program Office evaluation. The model will incorporate applicable USAF logistics support, supply support and maintenance characteristics and the reliability characteristics to provide a simulation model of the LANTIRN LTR. More specifically, the functionality of the simulation will allow for ?what-if? analysis to measure potential effects from changes in LTR reliability, spares availability and serviceability condition, transportation, maintenance capacity and throughput and user operations. Existing proprietary model design exists from USAF and Army applications that define DOD and USAF logistics, supply, and transportation characteristics. These design modules will be adapted for use by the LANTIRN LTR simulation. Previously developed defaulting mechanisms exist and will be used to accommodate shortfalls in available LANTIRN LTR data. This requirement will be solicited sole source of Clockwork Solutions, Inc. under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Synopsis is accomplished for the purposes of identified potential subcontract opportunity. Solicitation will be issued approximately 23 Aug 2002. Approximate response date will be 13 Sep 2002.
