Description
The University of California, which operates the Los Alamos National Laboratory under contract to the Department of Energy, solicits companies interested in collaborating with Los Alamos National Laboratory in obtaining exclusive or nonexclusive license rights to commercialize, manufacture and market a new instrument, entitled ?Pulsed, Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Source For Emission Spectrometry? hereinafter referred to as ?Technology?. The Technology is the subject of an invention disclosure and a patent application has been submitted for this Technology. This Technology involves the development of a novel, highly sensitive chemical/biological vapor detector, which is based on a new microplasma discharge with molecular emission detection and a novel device design. The Technology is designed in a very compact way that makes the device possible for hand-held battery operation. Any organization interested in licensing the Technology for their specific application(s) must respond with a Letter of Interest. The Letter of Interest shall include a description of the company?s (1) business and business goals; (2) technical staff and resources; (3) motivation for pursuing this opportunity.
